Chief Commissioner Vacancy
At the B-PSA National Committee Meeting (held on 5th November 2016), the following proposal was agreed regarding the appointment of a Chief Commissioner:
The Chief Commissioner is an National Committee appointment. However, the NC feels that the membership should be consulted and that proposals for the position should be put forward through duly convened Area Meetings.
The timetable will be:
- An updated Chief Commissioner’s job description will be prepared for the January 2017 NC meeting (7th January)
- The approved job description will be circulated to all Areas following the January NC meeting
- Area meetings will be asked to submit a maximum of 2 proposals to the March 2017 meeting (4th March), that meet the requirements of the job description, to be accompanied by a personal statement from the person proposed
- At the March NC meeting these proposals will be considered by the NC, and they should be able to confirm the appointment of a new Chief Commissioner.]
